Portal Door Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2, 2026
Portal Door is made by Riddim Software Corporation. It is available on iOS and Android. We designed the app to work without accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking. Riddim Software does not collect personal data through Portal Door.
Camera
Portal Door needs access to your device's camera so it can show a live preview of a doorway and watch for people walking through. The camera is used only while the app is open and you have granted permission.
Portal Door does not take photos or record video to storage. Camera frames are processed in real time on your device and are discarded as soon as each frame is handled. Frames are not uploaded to Riddim Software or to any other service.
You can revoke camera permission at any time in your device settings. Without camera access, Portal Door cannot detect walk-throughs.
Pose detection
To decide when someone crosses the doorway zone, Portal Door runs on-device human pose detection on the live camera stream:
- iOS and iPadOS use Apple's Vision framework.
- Android uses Google ML Kit Pose Detection.
Pose detection estimates body landmarks (for example head and ankle positions) in each frame. Those landmarks are used only on your device to check whether a person is inside the detection zone and to start the Nether Portal sound on a walk-through. Landmark data is not saved, shared, or sent off the device.
Camera images used for pose detection stay on your device. Riddim Software does not receive your camera feed, pose landmarks, or any derived biometric profile.
Information stored on your device
Portal Door may store a small preference on your device, such as whether you have dismissed the first-run help tips. That preference stays on the device and is not sent to Riddim Software. You can remove it by deleting the app.
Third-party services
Portal Door does not include third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, account, or cloud-storage services. On Android, pose detection is provided by the on-device Google ML Kit library; camera frames and pose results are not sent to Google or Riddim Software for analysis.
Children's privacy
Because the app does not collect personal data, Riddim Software does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Retention and deletion
Riddim Software has no Portal Door account or server record to retain or delete. Local preferences are removed when you delete the app. Camera frames and pose results are not retained by the app after processing.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, we will update this policy and its “Last updated” date before the changed practices are released.
